What actually happened today:
Today we FINALLY got the septic design approved and returned. The original person in charge of approval quit and then there needed to be revisions made. So today we got it back and met Eric at the lot to mark the trees that we wanted/were able to keep.

Surprises:
We were very surprised that it took so long to get the septic design back. We were also surprised at how many trees we couldn’t keep.

How we are feeling:
We have been very upset and frustrated waiting on the septic design to be approved. How many times did we hear, “the end of this week or the beginning of next at the latest”? We thought we’d never start and live in this awful duplex forever. We are also disappointed that we couldn’t keep more trees. WE thought we’d be able to keep some in the front, but there were no trees in the spot we could have them! However, we did get to keep a pair of trees in the back of the lot that will be great for a lounge chair and glass of lemonade! The good news is there is common property behind us, and an empty lot next to us FULL of trees. We can’t wait for the bulldozers!
